Quick Start Guide

This guide will help you install and configure the UPI Payment Alert voice speaker application on your Android device in less than two minutes.

Step 1: Download & Install the APK

Since this is a standalone utility application, download the latest compiled installation file directly using the link below:

Transfer the APK to your phone (if downloaded on a PC) and tap the file to install it. You may need to authorize your file manager to install applications from unknown sources.

Step 2: Grant Permissions

For the background service to parse incoming payments, two system permissions must be granted:

  1. Notification Access: Allows the app to detect alerts pushed by GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and bank applications.
  2. SMS Permission: Allows the app to parse credit transaction SMS alerts pushed by your bank.

Tap the "Grant Required Permissions" button in the center of the app to launch the permission authorization wizard.

⚠️ Crucial Step: Disable Battery Optimization
Android will actively kill background tasks to save power. When prompted by the app, select "Allow" to bypass battery optimizations. This keeps the foreground listener service unkillable.

Step 3: Test and Align Volumes

Configure the speaker behavior to fit your environment:

  1. Select your preferred announcement language (English or Hindi).
  2. Adjust the Announcement Volume slider. This controls the target volume level of the announcement stream.
  3. Adjust the Announcement Speed slider. This controls how fast the currency amount (numbers) is read.
  4. Click the "Test Sound" or "Test Sound with Amount" button to verify the TTS output.
